As you build more awareness of the non-physical universe, it is very important that you understand how to protect your personal energy field. Energy-sensitive people often draw in energies or attention that can distract, influence, or harm them, from people, non-physical beings, or astral creations.

Ignorance or avoidance does not make these forces go away. Training in how to defend yourself, and then using the techniques diligently, frees you from fear and minimizes interference. The trick is to do enough protection without putting undue attention on what you don't want. Practical exercises as well as knowledge are stressed in this class.
